Children and parents

Children and young people must be guaranteed satisfactory living conditions and a safe environment in which to grow up. Norway has several laws to ensure that official powers are used in the best interests of children. Each municipality is responsible for this as part of its daily work, but there are also a number of government authorities dedicated to child-parent relations.
